About David
David is an author, writer, and editor. Over his career, he’s worked for a range of media outlets, including CBS News and The Baltimore Sun, and his work has appeared in The New Yorker, The Atlantic, The New York Times, The Washington Post, and on NPR. He was a Nieman Fellow at Harvard and a Pew Fellow in International Reporting at Johns Hopkins. He’s written about many topics, including how elephants keep cancer at bay despite their size, the new understanding of how humans first populated Africa, the worrying decline of play among children, and the hidden earthquake threat in the Midwest. He has a BA from the University of Chicago and a Master’s in journalism from Columbia. Off Course is his first novel. He lives in Baltimore with his wife and two children, a dog, and a few dozen tiny snails.
